Management Team
Paul Lowndes – Managing Director Co-founder and director of Mediapharm, Paul has been instrumental in developing Mediapharm’s ‘pharmacy education’ strategy into one that brings measurable business results for our OTC and Rx clients. Paul’s background is in commercial development in pharmacy and GP markets. Whilst working at Chemist and Druggist he gained an insight into the key role pharmacy plays in the NHS and its commercial implications for healthcare companies.
Fawz Farhan MRPharmS – Creative Director Fawz is the creative force behind each project, bringing her insight into the healthcare industry, pharmacy and adult learning sectors, acquired from her various roles over the years. She oversees the content of all Mediapharm training and education programmes, ensuring the quality and relevance is maintained throughout. Fawz is an established pharmacist and educator who has held the post of visiting lecturer in pharmacy practice at King’s College London since 1999. She has worked in community and hospital pharmacy and medical publishing. Fawz was Technical Editor at Chemist and Druggist for over six years with responsibility for managing Pharmacy Update – the magazine’s College of Pharmacy Practice (CPP)- accredited continuing education programme.
Marie Chatterton MRPharmS – Pharmacist Lead As Pharmacist Lead, Marie works closely with the client to ensure all materials deliver the professional training that pharmacists need and want. Marie joined Mediapharm from Medway School of Pharmacy where she was a Clinical Lecturer with responsibility for a number of pharmacy practice courses, and also carried out research on POM to P products. Marie previously worked in pharmacy postgraduate education in the Department of Medicines Management at Keele University where her research focused on patients’ experiences of medicine taking, and pharmacists’ experiences of the provision of services. Marie also worked for Boots the Chemists for eight years as a consultant pharmacist and pharmacy manager.
Monica Bernal-Quiroz - Account Manager Monica has a wealth of industry knowledge and contacts after almost a decade in the pharmacy publishing sector. Prior to joining Mediapharm Monica was at Pharmacy Business for seven years and as Associate Publisher helped establish the Pharmacy Business Awards in 2001 – one of the most prestigious awards in UK pharmaceutical industry calendar.
David Honeyman – Business Development Manager David has almost 30 years experience in business development and media sales across a broad range of professional sectors. He helps clients to identify new business opportunities within the pharmacy sector, and develop bespoke solutions to fully integrate training and education with the brand.
Ben Schlaepfer – E-learning Director Ben has extensive experience in developing user-centred electronic channels, delivering services via the internet, intranet, digital TV and mobiles. He has previously worked for sectors as diverse as the NHS, finance, media and local Government.
