The need for specialist pharmacy education
We – that is myself Paul Lowndes and Fawz Farhan – started Mediapharm in 2001. We had both worked at Chemist and Druggist for over five years each and realised there was a gap in the market for a specialist pharmacy education company.We knew we could do better
It was difficult at the start as ‘pharmacy education’ was not recognised in the same way as ‘medical education’. Although we put together high quality training material for companies, we knew we could add so much more value if we could get involved earlier on in the process.We made pharmacy education integral to the brand
Our POM to P strategy has formed the blueprint for everything we do because it makes pharmacy education an integral part of the brand offering. It continues to evolve as we work on new switches, new prescription product launches, and on revitalising existing brands.Although we have grown, we never forget what makes us different from the big communications agencies. Fawz and I continue to have personal involvement across all our projects, an attribute which filters through the team.
