This course on Diet and Fitness will help you offer customers the best advice and products for managing weight and keeping active. The course includes:

Learning outcomes

By the end of this course you will be able to:

• Advise on the risks associated with being overweight or obese
• Help customers to calculate their Body Mass Index (BMI)
• Advise customers on weight management programmes and fitness regimes
• Recommend appropriate diet and fitness products

Duration 

This course will take you approximately 15 minutes to complete. The videos are additional and optional but have been included to accommodate different learning styles and to help enhance the learning.

How will you benefit from this? 

The obesity epidemic is adding a huge burden on the NHS. Pharmacies are obliged to offer public health advice as part of the Healthy Living Pharmacy scheme and are therefore a prime place to help customers manage weight and offer products related to diet and fitness. This training will give you the knowledge and skills you need to do this.
